Hyderabad, AP locations selling clay idols – 2010 Update

In Hyderabad,

Society for Awareness and Vision on Environment (SAVE) a NGO is working to make unpainted clay idols available at different parts of Hyderabad. Youth For Seva Volunteers will be helping out on this.  Refer to the link for more details on the work done Mr. Vijay Ram of SAVE and involvement of  HMDA.

The 4 Locations where SAVE will setup the stalls are

  1. Emerald Mithai Shop – Indira Park
  2. Emerald Mithai Shop Gandhi Nagar
  3. Secretariat (along the fence)
  4. Bowenpally – Hasmathpet Tank

Dates: Idols will be sold at the aforementioned locations starting from 3 days prior to Festival.

Youth For Seva – Hyderabad is also planning to setup stalls in certain company campuses/localities. Specifics will be updated as and when available, those interested may send a request to yfshyd@youthforseva.org with a subject line “Interested in Clay Idol” (for ease of tracking).     I would like to appreciate the efforts of you for trying to keep the environment safe. Pls let me know the cost of 5 feet idol. I would like to pursuade apartment people to buy one.
