Sunday Sep 5th, 2010 – Jatha in Malleswaram to promote eco-friendly Ganapati Utsav
Youth For Seva in association with MES College and Malleswaram Residents Association have organized a Jatha to promote the use of unpainted clay idols for Ganapati pooja.
The Jatha starts at 10 am from M E S COLLEGE,15th cross Malleswaram. The Jatha will be flagged off by Sri.A.S.Sadashivaiah,IFS (retd), Chairman, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KPSCB). Dr.C.N.Ashwathanarayana, MLA Malleswaram and local corporators have been invited.
A stall displaying / selling unpainted clay idols will be setup from 10 AM on Sunday inside the college premises.
Route : MES College – 9th main Malleswaram-18th cross-Sampige road-8th cross-8th main Malleshwaram-M E S college (3 Kms)
Students of various colleges and schools will also participate. All are welcome. Please participate in large numbers to support this campaign.
